More info. is coming to light regarding human trafficing. North Korean women are told they can find work in China. Once they cross the border however they are regarded as illegals and have no options but to do as they are told or they will be turned over to North Korea where they will be facing prison.
Also found this…
Current TV reporters Mitchell Koss, Euna Lee and Laura Ling consulted with Durihana’s Rev. Chun Ki-won in planning their ill-fated trip to the China-North Korea border March 17 that resulted in the arrests and imprisonment of Lee and Ling for 141 days in the DPRK capital. Chun has said he introduced the Current TV team to a guide Kim Seung-cheol, who reportedly accompanied the Americans onto North Korean soil on Mar. 17 but managed, along with Koss, to elude border guards.
Koss, Lee and Ling traveled to the region in early March to interview North Korean defectors for a story on the trafficking of refugee women into prostitution…
here…
Their story was about human trafficking.
Here they are coming home…
A very happy moment for all. A very happy moment indeed.

It makes me think of all the women sold who are leaving their friends and family. My guess is both were so touched by these women’s suffering and heartache they felt compelled to do something.
The current debate, trolls and all..
I have no idea how these other links below this line are getting attached but I will find out and delete them. Must be something wordpress is doing and while it upsets me, I have not had time to deal with it. Totally disregard these addtional links they mean nothing to the ongoing story details I am attempting to piece together.
So happy your both home. Your story was being told. Just not on Current

Your story of women being sold by North Korea to China and all points east was being told, it just wasn’t being reported by Current for whatever reason.
To the women of the world, both should be regarded as heroes for doing their best to get the story out.
A word of advice to all friends in any strange land….
Next time, never trust a guide you do not know.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER.

Comes from a woman speaking in the dark.
I am so afraid I am shaking. This was first posted on June 20, 2009. Looking back it now seems the most powerful video we viewed.
The screen is dark the whole time, but the words and her voice are so heartfelt and sincere the black screen becomes the perfect image for her message.
If you have not watched any Video on Iran, Watch this one.

Yes every innocent protester is just as important and perhaps their stories will be told soon. We will make every effort to do so. These are not soldiers, these are voters killed by their own leaders & their security arm.
Doctor who was by her side tells the whole story..
As Miss Soltan was being taken to hospital another commotion erupted about 20 metres away. A crowd of demonstrators had caught the basij — an Islamic volunteer militaman — who shot her from his motorbike. He was a big, strong man in his forties, clean-shaven except for a moustache.
“I heard him shouting, ‘I didn’t want to kill her. I didn’t want to kill her. I meant to shoot her in the leg’.” The crowd were furious. Some were trying to lynch him. Others were saying: “We’re not killers. Don’t harm him.”
All agreed that there was no point in handing the man to the police so they simply took his identify card and let him go.
Dr Hejazi’s clothes were soaked in Miss Soltan’s blood. He returned to his office to wash. His friends joined him there and they sat for two hours, waiting for the streets to clear, discussing the horror of what they had seen. “I was pale and furious and afraid and sad,” he said. “As a doctor I’d seen death before, but I never thought I’d have such a feeling. It was not just her death, but the injustice of the thing and the gaze in her eyes as life was leaving her.” He did not weep then, but he did later that night in bed.
The full story is a must read…
